How is the weather in Marrakech

When I visited Morocco this early spring, I was really excited for Le Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech but nobody suspected three days of rain. Normally you can expect 30 degrees and 24 hours full of sunshine. Therefore I never checked the best travel season in advance. But we definitely made the best of this short trip and caught nearly the only sunny moment with Lisa & Yassine in one of the most beautiful and inspiring places: a photoshoot at Le Jardin Majorelle de Yves Saint Laurent |Marrakech.

Visiting this garden was the only time we left Medina, which already felt like a second home. I was quickly used to the noise, the dust and all the busy people. My new passion become discussing with vendors in souks for hours. Stuffing all these beautiful items in my cabin baggage was really a miracle. My favorite purchase: a leather pouf! And my second passion: the food. I could have eaten the whole day in thirty bars and restaurants, because each place was special by its own way. Luckily the Moroccans have a tradition to drink tea everywhere and every time. That’s the reason why we enjoyed the flair on rooftop bars with tons of tea. My favorite flavor was cinnamon tea, because it really tastes like a dessert.

Where to stay in Marrakech

If you ever decide to visit Marrakech, choose a lovely Riad in Medina. You’ll not be disappointed. Riads are kind of a quiet and safe paradise amidst impressive trouble. You’ll always have a pool area and a nice rooftop with a view which you are sharing with less people. In our Riad there have been only four rooms. Relaxing at your own private rooftop, having a drink and listening to the sound of the mosques is unbelievable. I always got up early with my camera to watch the city to awake.
